Allow the struggle

Start by allowing everything you don't want to feel or experience a seat at the table.

Ask it questions. Get to know it.

What does it want?

Pushing away what you're experiencing only guarantees it will never have a place in your toolbox. Only when you look at your painful experiences and present feelings with curiosity that you're able to offer that part of you the compassion that heals.

It's ok for feelings of fear and pain to exist because acceptance of their presence is where the healing begins.

Feeling afraid? Let yourself feel afraid.

Feeling sad? Let yourself feel sad.

Feeling angry? Let yourself feel angry.

It's absolutely necessary to feel because pushing through your pain only trades one side of the distorted thinking for another.
